Troy, Mich. — The clek™ booster seat, which features the first rigid LATCH (lower anchors and tethers for children) system to be integrated into a backless booster seat, is a celebrated winner of an iParenting Media Award, Magna Aftermarket, Inc. announced today. olli™, a clek booster seat, received an award in the baby gear category after review by the iParenting executive committee, a parent, licensed childcare facility and child safety seat expert. The premier source for women and parents, iParenting Media Awards are given annually to exceptional products in more than 20 categories.

First introduced in the United States in April, clek booster seats are designed to keep kids in booster seats longer. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommends that children under 4 feet 9 inches tall or less than 80 pounds need a booster seat to ensure vehicle seat belts properly fit their small frame. Despite the safety advantages, studies show that less than 20 percent of children who should use booster seats actually do, leaving thousands of children with inadequate protection.
